Women Professionals

Connecting the Dots, Connecting Our Lives

Learn. Share. Connect. Grow.

While women lawyers account for more than 50% of most law firm attorneys, they are grossly underrepresented in leadership roles. Ask any woman lawyer her professional challenges and you’ll likely hear comments such as:

“I’m tired of working twice as hard and still being overlooked for the plum assignments.”

“It’s discouraging to bring in new clients only to be cheated out of the origination credit.”

“It’s still an old boys’ club at my firm and there seems to be little political will for change.”

Yes, even in the early part of the 21st century, gender discrimination, an embarrassing pay gap, and implicit bias is still alive and well in the country’s legal services sector.

Here at KLA Marketing Associates, we have a special heart for women lawyers and the challenges they face to create a successful practice and career. That is why we have a wide range of substantive programs explicitly designed to support, train, mentor and coach women lawyers to empower and counsel them to advance their careers.

In 2013, in response to our women lawyer clients’ requests, KLA Marketing Associates’ Chief Strategist Kimberly Rice founded Women in Law Rainmaker Forum, a mastermind roundtable serial program wherein Women in the Law can “lean in” to their career and access much-needed resources to develop a prosperous and rewarding practice.

In addition to facilitating Rainmaker Forums for law firms of all sizes across the county, we provide the following services especially for women lawyers:

  • Business development skills training workshops
  • Energizing educational programming with practical, concrete takeaways
  • Mentoring and coaching programs
  • Mocktail networking sessions
  • Confidence-building and professional presence workshops
  • Ongoing professional coaching sessions

As most successful business people recognize, success is not built in a vacuum but with a strong team of supporters. That’s what KLA Marketing Associates brings to women lawyers in today’s legal community. Learn more how we can support you.
